The Leader in
The Health Care Interpreter Network (HCIN) is a mission-driven, non-profit national organization committed to eliminating barriers to care for Deaf and limited-English-proficient (LEP) patients, and elevating the profession of healthcare interpreting. Our founders pioneered the use of voice and video over IP (V/VOIP) for medical interpreting more than 20 years ago, and HCIN has been serving providers and patients since 2006, initially created by three California county health systems. The network now serves dozens of hospitals and health systems nationwide, and remains governed by a Board of Directors drawn from the leadership of California public hospital systems.
HCIN's unique technical solutions enable highly-qualified hospital-based and independent interpreters based in the U.S. to serve patients and providers remotely, over a secure video-and-voice connection. HCIN also offers continuing education opportunities, through our webinars and online learning platform, HCIN Learn (www.hcinlearn.org)
